Peruvian food. Our local Peruvian place (Phoenix) closed a few years ago. We ordered the lomo saltado and the chicken Juanita with rice and beans. I miss lomo saltado. Both were really good. Add their green sauce. Best Peruvian food we've had anywhere. And they had big portions. We'll probably come again if we're ever in the area.

Came here with a friend for dinner. We were seated right away as soon as we got in. The place is spacious. It has a few seats in the upper portion but those were all taken. We were taken to the lower portion of the restaurant where there was an ample amount of seating. Our server introduced himself and they seemed very knowledgeable of the menu. The drink menu was very extensive but they did have good food options. For my entree I got the chaufa, which is Peruvian fried rice. My friend got the roasted chicken. The chicken was cooked perfectly and was lightly seasoned. They offer a generous portion. The chaufa also was a massive dish! Though there was enough meat the meat to rice ratio was off. It was too much rice. Honestly, they may be better off lowering the portion of it rice so the ratio would be balanced. Regardless, the dish tasted great especially with the green sauce. For appetizers we ordered the fried Yuca which was really good. It came with a garlic sauce which was amazing! That garlic sauce went really well with other dishes as well. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here and willing to come back and try out other options.

Huge spot! Not sure how they pay that rent but I'm here for it! Got the Chicken which is delicious. Even if you're not that hungry get at least half a chicken you'll want it or whoever you're eating with will! Got the rice beans and platanos maduros. All as expected and yummy! Service was quick about an hour before closing on a weekday. Ambience is bar like upstairs and cozy and darker and better suited for small groups of 2-4 max and brighter and more diner like downstairs and better suited for large groups. My go to Caribbean spot in Hells Kitchen Times Square Midtown area. Always reliable!

Really solid Peruvian place! I've been a few times before, and I always go for the rotisserie chicken. The chicken is so juicy and tender, and go so amazingly well with the restaurant green sauce. During my last visit with a friend, we also got the empanadas and the Pimiento Relleno, both of which were really good. We also got cocktails, which were really solid and refreshing. When my friend and I went, there weren't that many people around, so it was definitely a relaxing, fun environment. However it does get busy, and when it does, it is super loud and very hectic. But all in all, I'll definitely be back again for the chicken and green sauce again.

This is my go to place when I want a great comfort meal or I haven't eaten all day. My go to is the Matador combo because it comes with a little bit of everything and that amazing rotisserie chicken. My bf & I devour this entire order each time. The vibes at this location are great for family dinners, dates, celebrations. Pretty much any occasion this restaurant is a good idea.

When in the mood for Peruvian food, come to this Pio Pio location. This is the biggest one of all the ones I have been too. Staff is friendly and service is good. Reservations are recommended for bigger parties but usually for small groups not required esp when coming early. Lately coming here as last minute decision when in the mood and never a wait to get a table which is great. There is both upstairs and downstairs (bigger seating area) seating and a full bar. Cocktails are good here and strong, There are plenty of items to choose from menu but I usually go for my staples. Highly recommend the avocado salad and salchipapas - the go to starters for me. Both are delicious and shareable. Juanita's 1/2 chicken with yellow rice and maduros is plenty to share for two people. If a group of 4, order the matador combo as it's a great deal for a whole rotisserie chicken. You may need to order extra portion of yellow rice as it's only enough for two people. The green sauce is spicy for those who like an extra kick to their food. Add to your level of spiciness. Always too full to have dessert though... Restrooms: One restroom each for men and women on the main level and additional restrooms on the lower level.

THEY HAVE A "c" FROM HEALTH DEPARTMENT RATING, WONDERING WHY? THATS A VERY BIG QUESTION MARK!!! Been here to this location first time. Have been to other locations especially 34 street, Northern blvd and Woodhaven blvd. This location is very unique, different ambiance and looks better. Service is very prompt and attentive. Food is great. Escabeche de Mariscos, loved it. Pickled seafood. Not a fan of cilantro, but lime juice balances it. Fried calamari always great. Avocado salad and rotisserie chicken is a staple. Fillet mignon pieces was average. Its just like an Asian stir fry. Locuma ice cream and flan phenomenal.
